We don't collect your data
AppCage has no servers of its own and asks you to register nothing. iOS measures app usage on your device through the Screen Time framework; we don't collect it, upload it, or share it with anyone.
Screen Time permission
On first use you're asked to authorize Screen Time — iOS requires it. Without that authorization no app can limit another app. The permission is used only to:
- pick the apps and categories to restrict
- write your choices as system limits
- read the usage time iOS measures to build insight reports
The measurements always stay with iOS, and you can revoke the authorization in Settings at any time — revoking it lifts every limit at once.
Credentials stored on this device
Your passcode and recovery code are stored only in this device's Keychain. They never leave the device and are never synced to any server. The recovery code resets your passcode if you forget it — we can't recover it for you, so write it down somewhere safe.
No tracking
The app contains no third-party ad SDKs, no analytics SDKs and no cross-app tracking components. It reads nothing inside your apps and never touches your contacts, photos or location.
Purchase information
Apple handles subscriptions. We only receive whether Pro is active — never your payment details, account or identity.
Children's privacy
This app isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Deleting your data
Everything stays on this device, and uninstalling the app deletes it all — iOS clears the Keychain entries and stored settings along with it.
Updates to this policy ship with new releases and are described on this page. If we ever add anything that needs a network connection or collects data, we'll update this page first and tell you.
